This policy applies to UK consumer orders placed with LINKD Alarms. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Cancelling your order
You can cancel your order, or any part of your order, for any reason before delivery or within 14-days of receiving your goods.
If your order is delivered in multiple parcels, the 14-day cancellation period runs from the day after you receive the final parcel.
To cancel your order or request a return, please email us at support@linkdalarms.co.uk with your order details and the items you wish to return. You may also cancel by making any clear statement to us that you wish to cancel your order.
Once we receive your request, we will confirm the most suitable return process based on your circumstances. This may depend on whether the goods are being returned under your statutory cancellation rights, because they are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described, or for another reason. Where you are exercising your statutory cancellation rights, your cancellation will take effect from the date you send us a clear cancellation request, even if we later ask for further information to help process the return.
You do not need to give a reason if you are cancelling under your statutory 14-day cancellation rights. However, we may ask for further information, photographs, product details or batch information where this is reasonably needed to assess the return and advise you on the correct next steps.
Returning goods after cancellation
After you have told us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods to us within 14 days.
Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, not as described, or we have supplied the wrong item, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us.
Goods should be returned with all parts, accessories, instructions and packaging where possible. Deductions may be made where missing parts, accessories, instructions or packaging reduce the value of the goods. You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
We recommend using a tracked or recorded return service, as you are responsible for the goods until they are received by us.
Refunds
We will refund the price paid for the returned goods, subject to any deductions explained in this policy.
Where applicable, we will also refund the standard delivery charge paid on the original order. If you selected a more expensive delivery option than our standard delivery service, we will only refund the cost of our standard delivery service.
We will make the refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back from you, or within 14 days of receiving evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is sooner.
Refunds will usually be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless we agree otherwise with you.
Testing alarms before installation
We recommend that you carefully unbox the alarms and place them in the rooms where you intend to install them before fixing them to the ceiling or wall. This allows you to check the alarms, test their function, and confirm that they are suitable for your property before installation.
Do not screw, stick, wire, mark, alter, paint, permanently fix, or install the alarms until you are satisfied that they are suitable and that you intend to keep them.
Installed, used or damaged alarms
If goods are returned in a condition that reduces their value, we may reduce the refund to reflect that loss in value. This includes goods that have been installed, fixed, used beyond reasonable inspection, marked, damaged, returned with missing parts, returned with damaged packaging, or returned in a condition that means they cannot be resold as new.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, a deduction can be made where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and function. The test is whether the goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be allowed when assessing them in a shop.
As life-saving devices, alarms that have been installed cannot be resold by us as new. For this reason, alarms that have been screwed, stuck, wired, fixed, removed after installation, marked, damaged, or otherwise used beyond reasonable inspection may not qualify for a full refund. In some cases, no refund may be due if the returned goods have no resale value.
Where parts of the product have become fixed to, incorporated with, or mixed inseparably with a property or other items after delivery, those parts may not qualify for a refund. This may include, but is not limited to, fixings, adhesive pads, bases, wiring parts, labels, seals, or other components that cannot be returned in a complete and resaleable condition.
Pre-linking service charges
If you select our pre-linking service, you are asking us to carry out this service before your goods are dispatched. This service is carried out specifically for your order and is completed before the alarms are sent to you.
Once the pre-linking service has been completed, the pre-linking service charge is non-refundable, unless the service has not been carried out correctly. This does not affect your right to cancel and return eligible goods, but the completed service charge will not be refunded.
If you cancel your order before the pre-linking service has been carried out, the pre-linking service charge will be refunded.
Suitability advice before purchase
If you contact us before purchase and tell us that you intend to use the alarms for a particular property, installation type, regulatory requirement or scenario, and we advise you that the alarms are not suitable for that intended use, you should not proceed with the purchase for that purpose.
Where we have clearly advised before purchase that the alarms are not suitable for your stated intended use, you will not be able to claim that the goods are faulty, not fit for purpose, or mis-sold simply because they are unsuitable for that same use.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the goods are faulty, damaged, not as described, supplied incorrectly, or where you have a valid statutory cancellation right.
Refused deliveries
If you no longer require the goods and refuse delivery, we may treat this as a cancellation request. In this situation, we may deduct the reasonable cost of the return shipment from your refund.
If you ask us to arrange collection, or if we agree to arrange collection because the goods have not been returned, we may deduct the reasonable carrier cost from your refund.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Please check your order carefully as soon as reasonably possible after delivery, preferably within 48 hours, to make sure all items are present, correct and undamaged. If anything is missing, incorrect, damaged, or not as described, please get in touch with support@linkdalarms.co.uk as soon as possible with your order details and, where relevant, photographs of the packaging, delivery label, contents and any damaged items. Contacting us promptly helps us investigate packing errors, courier damage or missing items quickly. This does not affect your statutory rights.
